Raja Vidya Raja Guhya Yoga
The Yoga of Royal and Secret Knowledge
Krishna reveals the 'royal secret'—the most confidential knowledge of devotion. He explains how He pervades the entire universe and how all beings rest in Him. The chapter emphasizes the path of pure devotional service (Bhakti Yoga) as the direct means to attain Him.
पत्रं पुष्पं फलं तोयं यो मे भक्त्या प्रयच्छति | तदहं भक्त्युपहृतमश्नामि प्रयतात्मनः ||26||
If one offers Me with love and devotion a leaf, a flower, a fruit, or water, I will accept it.
Transliteration
patraṁ puṣhpaṁ phalaṁ toyaṁ yo me bhaktyā prayachchhati | tad ahaṁ bhakty-upahṛitam aśhnāmi prayatātmanaḥ ||26||
Commentary
This verse beautifully illustrates that in devotional service, the sentiment behind the offering is more important than the material value of the object offered. Lord Krishna accepts even the simplest offering if it is made with genuine love and devotion, emphasizing that the path of bhakti is accessible to all.
