Chapter 8, Verse 5

अन्तकाले च मामेव स्मरन्मुक्त्वा कलेवरम् | यः प्रयाति स मद्भावं याति नास्त्यत्र संशयः ||5||

And whoever, at the end of his life, quits his body remembering Me alone, at once attains My nature. Of this there is no doubt.

Transliteration

anta-kāle cha mām eva smaran muktvā kalevaram | yaḥ prayāti sa mad-bhāvaṁ yāti nāsty-atra sanśhayaḥ ||5||

This verse underscores the importance of the state of mind at the moment of death. Krishna assures that one who focuses their consciousness on Him at the end of their life will attain the supreme spiritual realm. This highlights the power of constant remembrance and devotion throughout life.
