Moksha Sannyasa Yoga

The Yoga of Liberation by Renunciation

The final and longest chapter of the Bhagavad Gita serves as a summary of the entire text. Krishna explains the concepts of renunciation (sannyasa) and त्याग (tyaga), concluding that true renunciation is not the giving up of action, but the renunciation of the fruits of action. The chapter culminates with Krishna's ultimate instruction: to surrender completely to the divine.

Chapter 18, Verse 66

सर्वधर्मान्परित्यज्य मामेकं शरणं व्रज | अहं त्वा सर्वपापेभ्यो मोక్షयिष्यामि मा शुचः ||66||

Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear.

Transliteration

sarva-dharmān parityajya mām ekaṁ śharaṇaṁ vraja | ahaṁ tvāṁ sarva-pāpebhyo mokṣhayiṣhyāmi mā śhuchaḥ ||66||
