Vibhuti Yoga

The Yoga of Divine Glories

Arjuna requests Krishna to describe His divine opulences (Vibhutis) that pervade the universe. Krishna enumerates His principal manifestations, explaining that He is the source of all that exists. He states that all glorious and beautiful creations are but a spark of His splendor.

Chapter 10, Verse 8

अहं सर्वस्य प्रभवो मत्तः सर्वं प्रवर्तते | इति मत्वा भजन्ते मां बुधा भावसमन्विताः ||8||

I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me. The wise who know this perfectly engage in My devotional service and worship Me with all their hearts.

Transliteration

ahaṁ sarvasya prabhavo mattaḥ sarvaṁ pravartate | iti matvā bhajante māṁ budhā bhāva-samanvitāḥ ||8||

Commentary

This is a cornerstone verse declaring Krishna's position as the absolute source of all creation. Understanding this truth, the wise engage in devotional service (bhakti) not as a mere ritual, but with deep feeling and conviction.
